Photogeddon - Day 5

What a difference a day can make. I was feeling rundown from a long week and not knowing how I was going to finish the day. I didn't even think about Photogeddon save for this morning when I grabbed my camera.

Then something changed. At 1:00PM, right after getting back from having some yummy BBQ, I got a twitter hit from Kubota Image Tools stating that I had won two passes to their SummitUP workshop in November. Well... needless to say, but I will say it anyway, I could barely stay in my chair. I was antsy the rest of the day.

But I was also inspired to go take photographs as a part of Photogeddon. So here I present to you, Photogeddon Day 5.

And now accepting his Non-Academy Award....

You like me, they like me... You all really, really like me. I would like to thank God first off for without him none of this would be possible. I would also like to thank my wife for supporting my endless hours on twitter. I would like to thank Nathan for convincing me that Twitter was worth creating a account with... oh wait... this isn't an actual awards show. It sure feels like it though.

Wow! I am still stuck on the word wow as my only expression for this fantastic opportunity. I am excited to announce that I won two tickets to Kubota Image Tools SummitUp Workshop in Sister's, Oregon in November. This event is really going to be fantastic. They will cover...
  • Style & Creativity
  • Lighting & Posing
  • Launching a Portrait Business
  • Redefining Success Through Inspiration
  • Selling Photography in to the Multi-Millions
  • and so much more...
The weekend will be closing with an early morning trash the dress photo shoot.

I am also announcing that I will be taking Nathan Smith with me as my guest. He has been such a great inspiration and support mechanism for me I thought that this would be one way I could start to pay him back. He has been talking about doing a trash the dress shoot for a while now... and with everthing thing else the workshop will be covering, I thought he would get the best benefit from it.

So Nathan, thank you for being there and including me as you have started growing your own studio and profession. I have learned so much and gain a lot of confidence from working with and around you. We are going to have a great time!

I would like to give props to Kubota Image Tools and Kevin Kubota. They do a lot to give back to the photography community. Between the events that host and the scholarships they give away to the simple gesture of giving away passes to their workshops and their amazing tools; this company is top notch and deserves all the support they can get to continue doing what they do best: Enabling photographers to not only strive to be better but to actually be better photographers, citizens and human beings. Thank you to the Kubota family.
