Today's photos are a collection of odds and ends. I will let you decide what is odd and what is end.

Misty Pacific Northwest

This was my Halloween costume, in which my wife worked on my full length cape all day. After much frustration for her, my costume was complete and neautiful enough that I won first place for best costume. By the way, I painted and decorated my mask.

Cloudy Mountians

I drew this using only two types of pencils and a stubby, an H2 for the clouds and some mountian shading and an H9 for the darker moutian shading and created a two toned image which contrasts well. It is simple, but I liked it.

Stormy Mountian

Below is a new drawing I drew the other night. I photographed it and then used photo editing software to make a high contrast version, which better represents the contrasts as they appear on paper (as the unedited version fails to truly capture the contrasts). I included both as an example of the difference.

Mount Hood

This was my first attempt at drawing a lake reflection. As you can see the reflection isn't truly a mirror image, but it was my first attempt. This is a drawing I made from a photo of Mount Hood.

Mountain House

This scenic drawing of a mountain house was my first attempt at incorporating smoke into a drawing. It didn't quite work out well, but I like the way the mountains turned out... a little off.
