The need of light and shadow

Light and shadow are in an never ending conflict to overcome each others. By doing so, they compliment each other so well.

The photography to the left was taken in the early morning, as the sun began breaking over a mountain ridge to cast the first light of the day on this complex collection of shrub branches.

A peaceful day in the mountains

An otherwise peaceful day at a remote mountain lake can still lead to some surprises. Like a Blackhawk helicopter running drills to prepare for the upcoming fire season. This was an amazing event and the crew were friendly and even waves at the camera a few times. Below are some outtakes from the event.

The World within the World

While out chasing waterfalls, it starting raining. I found a leaf with the right reflective light and a beautiful reflection.

So I changed my lens got in close and captured the world within the world.

It is important to keep an open mind when shooting, so you don't miss an opportunity because you are focused on one thing.
