3. expressive of hopelessness; despairing: forlorn glances.
4. bereft; destitute: forlorn of comfort.

I cannot fake the way I see the world for that would be a lie.

but always short of the goal

Cold, separated and vacant;
This body in which I dwell

Weakened by my failures,
An empty void of a shell

I awake from my sleeplessness,
now a zombie by day

Useless to my world;
nothing more to say
