365: Day 71 - White Tulip
I simply love how this shot turned out. I have been experimenting with a friends Olympus E-500... and I think I like what I am able to do with it. What do you think?

365: Day 65 - Windy Fountain
What a windy morning.... My day today started with this wonderful photo and ended with an emergency surgery to remove my gall bladder. It is amazing what 24 hours and 100 miles can do.
I was a business meeting in Portland. I would walk outside and take pictures during breaks. I snapped this one and then went back inside. About an hour later I started feeling uncomfortable.... Like my back was out. It was hard to breath, and I couldn't sit still. I left the meeting at 3:00 PM and drove myself home.
I arrived home at 4:15 PM. I took at hot shower, actually running the hot water tank empty, hoping that it would help whatever was hurting. It didn't. At 5:15 PM I called my wife to come take me to the hospital.
She came home from work picked me up and drove me to the local hospital. They sat us down and told us it would be a few minutes. Looking around at the dozens of others in the waiting room... my wife asked if they could get me something for the pain. A different nurse said no... and that it would be several hours before they could get us in.
We drove 40 miles to another, more familiar hospital. I was in the door and in a room in less than 15 minutes. By 7:00 PM I had an IV in my arm and heavy pain killers in my system.
The doctor thought it was kidney stones, but wanted to do a CT Scan. I agreed to the CT scan and was glad I did. At 10 PM the surgeon came in and said they wanted to take my gall bladder at Midnight.
And they did. At 9:00 AM I awoke in my hospital room with three new hole and one gall bladder lighter.
It is amazing how a day can change your entire life.

Dreary Days For One Is Another's Chance For Hope
I can't seem to get away from this plant. Maybe it is because I haven't been able to capture it in my camera the way see it. When I do I will stop photographing it.

Leader of the Pack
Momma leading her babies to the water for a swim lesson. Last count there are now twelve babies for the parents I have been following.
365: Day 53 - The Road Trip
A part of the Cascade mountain range, these three peaks or called "The Three Sisters". From left to right; South Sister, Middle Sister and North Sister.
North Sister has experienced some swelling which is an indicator of potential volcanic activity. No serious threat as of yet, but since she is a part of the same mountain range as Mount St. Helens and Mount Mazama (Crater Lake), the risk of a violent explosion is present. Mount St. Helens was not the first of the Cascade Mountains to "Blow" its top on May 18th, 1980. Mt Mazama almost completely blew up in around 5677 BC and the eruption has been estimated to have been over 40 times more powerful than Mount St. Helens. Could the North Sister be the next?

Pondering the Future
Some baby goslings less than a day old. Dreaming of the day it can enter the water. I named this one Melvin and the one in the back is Stewart... he is a ham.
Still Curious
A new baby gosling... not even a full day old. Seems very curious about the world around it. I named this one Stewart.

Rubio is a 13 year old golden retriever that I was able to meet today during my photo shoot. She was amazingly freindly and absolutely gorgeous.
365 Day 48 - Money Shot
I stopped shooting after this shot calling it a day. For me it doesn't much better than this. All the credit goes to my model on this one.
